Born and raised in the great (and cold) state of Wisconsin, our new Queen is here to warm your hearts. Sarah Niehueser is the new United States of America’s Miss 2022.  She captured the judges hearts and crown on February 19th, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV out of a field of 36 state competitors.

Sarah is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater, studying Occupational Health and Safety with an emphasis in Environmental Management. Through her schooling she has received multiple OSHA certifications and is working to obtain more through her Safety Internship. Upon graduation, Sarah will have her GSP certification and will start her journey towards a CSP and CIH certification. Her dream is to obtain an Industrial Hygienist Certification and work as a traveling consultant. She also competes on her College’s NCAA D3 Cross Country and Track and Field Teams. She has reached All-Conference honors in the Distance Medley Relay and the 4x400 Meter Dash. She has also reached the podium in the 400 meter race at conference.

Sarah was inspired to start her platform G.I.R.L.S (Girls In Real Life Situations) from her experience as a woman in a male dominated career where she often felt alone or judged for being a woman. She recognized that many other women on an international scale face setbacks based on their gender and set out to build a support group to uplift women. She also runs a nonprofit organization called Sarah’s Success Closet which provides new/gently used business clothing to low income female college students. Financials should never be an obstacle standing in the way of a woman's dreams and Sarah’s Success Closet ensures that.
